Quote of the week ...

'No Garden is without weeds'

Thomas Fuller

Suppose you could take this on a few different levels ?!?

Check out www.forismatic.com for inspirational quotations of the day.

Sit back and relax - I know I'm trying to.

Giraffe's for art's sake ...

So, art class a teensy weeny bit more tricky today ... drawing a toy giraffe is not quite a simple as it looks but safer than eating chocolate, less tiring than work and cheaper than shopping. Plus you get to think about nothing other than ... a toy giraffe ... full of wadding ...

saving images later ... the poor thing only had three legs so far ...

So, coming up is an image of my shoe - done in charcoal - it was the first time I've drawn a picture since I was 16 ... and that was ....... years ago - [don't bother to fill in the missing space ... please.

Sausage Loaf. Sausage Loaf? Yes, Sausage Loaf ...

Sausage Loaf - Yum yum !
Easy peasy tasty home-cooked inexpensive supper or lunch ... good with salads, dauphinoise potatoes if you're really hung. Great for uni or having a few friends around. Impress the future mother-in-law ... honestly ...

You will need:
Packet of Sausage meat - Supermarket or butchers. If you can't find this, just buy a large packet of large sausages and squeeze the sausage from the skins.
Apple - chopped into small pieces
Celery - chopped
Egg
Mixed herbs
Small loaf shaped cooking vessel

Mash the sausages, egg, celery and apple together - [creates bit of a gooey mess]
Grease or line the loaf shaped cooking vessel.
Load sausage mixture into the vessel and criss-cross top
Sprinkle with mixed herbs
Cook approx 45 mins on just above medium heat

Voila !! Slice and place on top of salad / or with cheesy sliced potatoes.

Yummy ! Impressive ! Easy ! Cheap ! You are a Star !
