
Ginger ... what more is there to say?
Quite a bit actually ...
Ginger is the rhizome [rhizome is the underground stem] of the plant Zingiber officinale.
Ginger is used as a cooking spice. [We knew that]
Ginger can be used to help prevent nausea, particulary with regard to motion sickness, post-operative sickness and pregnancy.
Ginger aids digestion: it aids the absorbtion of food and eliinates gas and bloating.
Ginger stimulates the flow of saliva and gastric sectretions and can help reduce flatulence.
Ginger can be used to treat and prevent migraine headaches.
Ginger may prove to be effective for pain relief, as an anti-inflammatory eg: rheumatism.
So Ladies, lets give it up for ... Ginger !
