We get busy don't we ... We've been indoors for the Winter ... lost a bit of Colour ... forget to keep on top of ourselves for a nano-second ...
So instead of putting Colour ON your cheeks, let's put Colour IN your cheeks ...
Try these feel-good quick fixes to sick-start your beautifying journey towards summer ...
Put Colour in your Cheeks
1. Laugh a Lot ! When we laugh - we relax the diaphragm [this usually tenses when we're worried or stressed] ~ Make sure you see friends [especially those with a sense of humour] - or go to see a comedy, funny film or play.
Put Colour in your Cheeks:
2. Go for a brisk walk - whatever the weather.
[A brisk walk will boost circulation and give your cheeks an instant glow]
Put Colour in your Cheeks:
Give your feet a good pummelling. Remember there are pressure points on the feet ... giving them a good massage-type overhaul with a buffer or pumice stone will remove any build up - may help circulation and weirdly, brings colour to your cheeks in the process. Try a Body Shop Foot Buffer [ around £3 ]
Put Colour in your Cheeks:
4. Breathe ...
Sit crossed legged. Drop Chin down. Close Mouth.
Breathe out through nose. Breathe in through your nose. [do both with noisy hissing sound] Take a dozen breaths - keeping them even and gently now.
Get used to making the out-breath' longer [ie twice as long as the in-breath]
* Hope this helps to de-stress you.
... not that I'm saying you are ... but just in case ...
Put Colour in your Cheeks:
5. Clean
Your ugly places - garage / office / storage space / loft
Do some gardening [even if you don't want to]
Shampoo those stains off the carpet [that someone else probably caused]
Damp cloth the stairs down [isn't that someone else's job?]
Decorate or re-paint something [especially if it involves rubbing paintwork with sandpaper]
Wash ALL the windows in your home - How mind-numbingly boring is that ? - This is sooo boring and such an irritating task, that it's bound to bring colour to your cheeks.
Brush the paths - multi-task here ... you'll be outdoors / burning off calories / doing a useful task / getting the feel-good factor / get to meet the neighbours ...
Oh ... and eat plenty of fruit and veg ... Make home-made soups ... Blend juice drinks ...
Enjoy your Rosy Cheeks,
Jill
